West Bengal Desk, Delhi Magazine: In a shocking incident in Cooch Behar district of West Bengal, Rosonaara Khatun, a member of the minority cell, was forcibly dragged out of her home onto the streets where she was brutally stripped and beaten. The incident, allegedly perpetrated by TMC members, has sparked widespread outrage.
According to reports, TMC affiliates attacked Rosonaara, tearing her clothes in public and subjecting her to severe physical assault. She is currently undergoing treatment at MJN Hospital in Cooch Behar, where she recounted the harrowing ordeal. “TMC women stripped me naked and attempted to drown me in water,” she stated, adding that she was threatened with further violence if she did not join TMC.
BJP leaders, including Shubhendu Adhikari, swiftly condemned the incident, describing it as a disgrace to society. They have filed complaints with the Human Rights Commission, Women’s Commission, and Minority Commission, highlighting alleged police inaction and the arrest of an unrelated relative not named in the FIR.
